Product Brief
Whole-genome sequencing faces challenges of large data volume, high cost, and complex analysis. SNP chips may struggle to accurately identify causal variants regulating target traits, while whole-exome sequencing provides a powerful tool for functional genomics, genetics, and other research fields with smaller data volume, higher coverage, and greater accuracy.
Since the launch of the Chinese Zodiac Series whole-exome products earlier this year, iGeneTech's animal and plant whole-exome product line has covered nearly 30 core species. It boasts three core advantages: "excellent capture performance, high species adaptability, and support for flexible customization," providing standardized and customized combined genomic solutions for agricultural breeding, gene function research, population genetics research, and other fields.
Solution Advantages
1. Whole-exome products for nearly 30 species
We have developed whole-exome products for nearly 30 species, achieving comprehensive coverage. We also support co-development of whole-exome products for other species, with options to share Panel intellectual property rights or usage rights.
2. 17 million+ probes
Leveraging our self-developed large-scale parallel synthesis platform Ignite 3.0, we can rapidly synthesize high-uniformity Oligo Pools. To date, we have synthesized over 17 million animal and plant whole-exome probes.
3. 200+ project experience
We have collaborated on the development of more than 200 custom animal and plant chips, accumulating rich project experience.
4. 20 working days
We support whole-exome plus and full-species customization. The cycle from demand confirmation to product delivery is ≤20 working days. We also provide full-process kits or technical services covering "extraction - library preparation - capture - sequencing."
Data Performance

Diverse Application Scenarios
1. Agricultural Breeding Field
In the breeding of cash crops such as wheat, barley, corn, cotton, tobacco, and soybean, as well as in the livestock breeding of pigs, cattle, sheep, chickens, ducks, etc., exome capture sequencing can be used for molecular genetic marking, population genetics research, mutant library sequencing, stress-resistant gene screening, variety evolution analysis, and more.
2. Disease Model Research
For model animals such as mouse, rats, pigs, and monkeys, exome capture sequencing is used to analyze genomic variations in disease models (e.g., tumor and metabolic disease models), locate pathogenic genes or regulatory loci, and clarify the mechanisms of disease occurrence and development.
3. Pet Genetic Testing
Exome capture sequencing for pets such as dogs and cats can detect genetic variations related to phenotypic traits (e.g., coat color, body type) and genetic diseases (e.g., canine hip dysplasia, feline polycystic kidney disease).
