Xinhua News Agency reported from Geneva on July 22: Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) issued an alert on Chikungunya fever, a mosquito-borne disease, on the 22nd, urging countries to be prepared to respond and prevent large-scale outbreaks. As a "sister disease" that shares the same transmission vector as dengue fever, Chikungunya Virus (CHIKV) places extremely high demands on accurate detection due to its rapid mutation and overlapping symptoms with other arboviruses (such as fever and rash).
Accurate detection has become a core link in distinguishing virus types and interrupting transmission chains. The performance data of iGeneTech's Chikungunya Virus Whole Genome Capture Kit (Cat. No.: PH2002492) is freshly released, providing supports for epidemic prevention and control!
6474 Probes with Strength: Proven Accuracy Through Actual Test Data
Based on the independently developed TargetSeq® liquid-phase probe hybridization capture technology with independent intellectual property rights, the kit is designed with 6474 specific probes, referencing the genomes of multiple global strains of Chikungunya virus from the NCBI database.
Verification through actual performance tests:
Results show that the Total reads mapping rate exceeds 99%, the Coverage rate reaches as high as 99.96%, and the 30× coverage rate reaches 99.88%. The Bam plot indicates no "gaps" in the entire genome with 100% coverage, demonstrating excellent performance indicators. It accurately captures the whole genome sequence of Chikungunya virus, providing a reliable basis for epidemic prevention and control, evolutionary analysis, and other research.
