As a model organism, studying epigenetics in mice—covering areas such as reproduction, embryonic development, aging, and diseases—holds significant importance.
Building on over 10 years of independent R&D and in-depth technological expertise, iGeneTech has innovatively launched the Mouse CpG Island Panel. This Panel can capture a 11.5 Mb region, covering 99.81% of CpG islands in the entire mouse genome; only≥5 ng of DNA is required to meet experimental needs.
The Mouse CpG Island Panel boasts exceptional capture performance, stable technical reproducibility, and high consistency with the gold standard WGBS. With just 5 Gb of data, an average depth of ≥100× after deduplication can be achieved, enabling accurate detection of CpG sites at single-base resolution--providing a powerful solution for understanding epigenetic changes.
01 Basic Performance of Mouse CpG Island Panel
Coupled with the BisCap® hybridization system, the Mouse CpG Island Panel achieves a Coverage Rate of 99.38% for the target region, a Target Reads Capture Rate of 93.07%, and a Rmdup Target 20× Rate of 97.94%.

Figure 1. 200 ng mouse gDNA was sonicated, then converted using the EpiTect Fast DNA Bisulfite Kit. Library preparation was conducted with the methylated double-stranded library preparation kit (IGT® Methyl Fast Library Prep Kit v2.0), captured by the Mouse CpG Island Panel, and sequenced on NovaSeq 6000-PE150.
02 Technical Reproducibility of Mouse CpG Island Panel
Using 200 ng of mouse DNA, two technical replicates were performed starting from library preparation. The consistency of methylation levels between the replicates showed an R² value of 0.99.
Figure 2. 200 ng mouse gDNA was sonicated, then converted using the QIAGEN EpiTect Bisulfite Kit. Library preparation was conducted with the methylated double-stranded library preparation kit (IGT® Methyl Seq Library Prep Kit v2.0), captured by the Mouse CpG Island Panel, and sequenced on NovaSeq 6000-PE150.
03 Consistency of Methylation Levels Between Mouse CpG Island Panel and WGBS
Using 200 ng of mouse DNA, WGBS and Mouse CpG Island Panel experiments were conducted separately. The overlapping CpG sites were selected for consistency analysis. The experimental results showed that the consistency between the Mouse CpG Island Panel and WGBS had an R² value of 0.97.
Figure 3. 200 ng mouse gDNA was sonicated, then converted using the QIAGEN EpiTect Bisulfite Kit. Library preparation was conducted with the methylated double-stranded library preparation kit (IGT® Methyl Fast Library Prep Kit v2.0), followed by WGBS and Mouse CpG Island Panel capture respectively, and sequenced on NovaSeq 6000-PE150.
Working Together to Define Methylation Arrays
On the occasion of the 11st anniversary of iGeneTech's founding, we are honored to announce the launch of the "Capture All" initiative.
Currently, iGeneTech has successfully developed the human genome CpG island methylation panel—CGI Panel, the mouse genome CpG island methylation panel—Mouse CGI Panel, as well as the tumor early screening panel—MCED Panel and the 935K alternative product—CpG Galaxy Panel.
iGeneTech looks forward to working with you. The next methylome liquid-phase array is waiting for you to define!
