iGeneTech has innovatively launched the OmniTrait Methylation Panel

Table of Content [Hide]

Methylation, as the core modification in epigenetics, directly regulates gene expression and chromatin structure. Its abnormal patterns serve as early biomarkers for cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and developmental disorders. In-depth analysis of methylation not only reveals the molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression but also provides key targets for liquid biopsy, precision diagnosis and treatment, and innovative therapies aimed at reversing epigenetic defects--thus becoming an irreplaceable strategic focus in modern biomedical research.

    iGeneTech New Product Launch

iGeneTech has newly released the OmniTrait Methylation Panel, which covers a 30Mb region of the human genome and is specifically designed for targeted methylation research in areas such as reproduction, aging, environmental exposure, infection, autoimmune diseases, and metabolic disorders.

Compared with the already marketed CGI Panel (focused on CpG islands) and CpG Galaxy Panel (with targeted capture of 3.08 million CpG sites), the OmniTrait Panel focuses more on "scenario-specific" sites. Unlike solid-phase microarrays, it supports single-sample testing with no sample pooling required; the minimum DNA input is as low as 5 ng, truly realizing a new paradigm of methylation detection featuring "fewer samples, lower input, and higher output".

    OmniTrait Methylation Panel Basic Performance

The OmniTrait Methylation Panel, paired with the BisCap® Hybridization System, achieves a Coverage Rate of 98.62% for the target region, a Flank Reads Capture Rate of 78.83%, a Rmdup Target 20%X Rate (%) of 96.42%, and a Fold 80 of 1.56.

Technical Reproducibility of the OmniTrait Methylation Panel

Using 50 ng NA12878 DNA, two technical replicates were performed starting from library construction. The consistency of methylation levels between the replicates was R=0.96.

Methylation Level Consistency Between the OmniTrait Methylation Panel and WGBS

Using 200 ng NA12878 DNA, WGBS and OmniTrait Methylation Panel experiments were conducted respectively. Overlapping CpG sites were selected for consistency analysis. The experimental results showed that the consistency between the OmniTrait Methylation Panel and WGBS was R=0.95.

Subsequently, WGBS and OmniTrait Methylation Panel capture were performed respectively, and sequencing was conducted on the NovaSeq 6000-PE150.
